Parents' Guide

Pick-Up and Drop-Off:

For safety reasons, we recommend picking up your children directly from our studio entrance at the end of their classes, as there may be vehicles in motion that children may not notice. If your children walk down the court, please keep a close eye on them. Once they leave our door, it will be outside our boundary, we are no longer responsible for their safety.

When driving in the court, please proceed slowly and allow extra time for parking. Children often play in the area, and pets such as cats and dogs may also be walking arround. Always double-check your surroundings before moving your vehicle.

Parking Guide:

  • Parents are advised to park down the court at Lisbeth Avenue on the street and walk up.
  • When driving up or down the court, please keep left and avoid causing any inconvenience to our neighbours. Please only drive on the grey area, which is the public road. Avoid driving onto our neighbours’ driveways or grass.
  • The space in front of the garage is for quick drop-off and pick-up under special circumstances such as raining or the sun is set.
  • The three designated spots are reserved for disability, pram parking, or special circumstances (1P). These spots can fit two cars — please ensure the rear of your car does not block the other vehicle.
  • Please be careful around the light pole, sunflowers, and surrounding area — the water system is nearby. If any damage occurs, notify the homeowner immediately.

Studio Policy for Drawing Classes:

  • Saturday classes are designed for two-hour sessions. Students enrolled for only one hour in a two-hour session may be subject to scheduling adjustments if another student enrolls for the full two-hour session. In such cases, we will make every effort to find an alternative suitable time for the one-hour student.
  • Students attending occasional or fortnightly classes may also be subject to rescheduling based on class availability and demand. Priority will be given to students enrolled in regular weekly sessions
  • If a student is unable to attend a class, such as due to holiday plans or other personal events, the studio must be notified at least five (5) days in advance.
  • For absences due to illness or unforeseen circumstances on the day of class, students must notify the studio before 9:00 AM. Any absences reported after 9:00 AM on the day of the class will be counted as a session and charged accordingly.
  • Requests for make-up classes should be communicated to the studio as early as possible. Students are encouraged not to wait until the end of the term to arrange these sessions. All make-up classes must be completed before the term concludes; otherwise, they will be forfeited.
  • Students need to pay for their term before the term start. A $10 late fee will apply if term payment is not made before the second class of the term. Once Payment is made, there will be no refund except under special circumstances (scroll down for more information).
  • Your adherence to these policies ensures the smooth operation of our classes and the best learning experience for all students.

Studio Policy for Piano Classes:

  • Students are expected to commit to attending all classes they are enrolled in and to make every effort to attend all scheduled sessions during the school term. Punctuality is essential, as piano lessons are scheduled back-to-back.
  • If a student is unable to attend a class due to holiday plans or other personal events, the studio must be notified at least five (5) days in advance. For absences due to illness or unforeseen circumstances on the day of the class, the studio must be notified before 9:00 AM. Any absences reported after 9:00 AM on the day of the class will be charged as a session.
  • Make-up classes are only available at the teacher's discretion and subject to availability. Due to high enrollment and a significant waiting list, students unable to attend 80% of their classes without a valid reason may lose their priority for scheduling. Valid reasons do not include lack of practice, feeling tired, not in the mood, or similar avoidable circumstances.
  • Parents and students are expected to take responsibility for their commitments. Enrollment in classes signifies an understanding and agreement with these policies to ensure fairness and the best learning environment for all students.

Studio Policy:

  • Payments must be made before the start of the term to secure a spot, as enrollment operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Once the term has commenced, refunds will not be issued.
  • Missed classes can be made up by joining available classes or during school holiday make-up sessions.
  • A $10 late fee will apply if term payment is not made before the second class of the term
  • If you wish to withdraw from a class, one week's notice is required before the start of the term. Cancellations after this period will incur a $35 fee.
  • If a student cannot attend, please inform us by 9:30 AM on the day of the class to avoid being charged. This policy also applies to trial classes.
  • Missed classes can be made up by joining available classes or during school holiday make-up sessions.

Refunds for Missed Classes:

Refunds will be issued in the following situations:

  • Class cancellation due to tutor illness or unavailability.
  • Positive COVID-19 test.
  • Long-term illness.
  • Personal reasons such as bereavement.
